Presiding Bishop Sean W. Rowe and the Rev. Phillip A. Jackson Fireside Chat

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to share two recent conversations that highlight the Episcopal Church Foundation’s ongoing mission to strengthen The Episcopal Church and transform ministries, along with our January newsletter.

L-R: Annette Buchanan, ECF Board Chair, the Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, and Dail St. Claire, ECF President and CEO

On the eve of our November 2025 Board of Directors’ meeting, the Foundation hosted a fireside chat at my home with The Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, and the Rev. Phillip A. Jackson, Rector and CEO of Trinity Church NYC. In that conversation, we discussed the vital roles of lay and clergy leadership, the evolving landscape of parish and diocesan life, and how initiatives such as ECF’s Diocesan Vitality Initiative (DVI) and Fellowship Partners Program can foster long-term vitality in our congregations, dioceses, and related institutions. Over 40 Episcopal Church Foundation board members and special guests attended this 35-minute fireside chat and asked questions.

The following day, I provided an annual update to our Board of Directors, offering an overview of our past year, as outlined in last week's inaugural Annual Report.

Both recordings are now available below and on our website, and I am excited to share them:

I hope these conversations give you a deeper understanding of the Foundation’s current priorities and aspirations for the future. Thank you for your partnership, your prayers, and your dedication to the ministries we serve. It is a privilege to walk alongside you in this work.

With every blessing,

Dail St. Claire
