ECF President & CEO Dail St. Claire Speaks to SEI's Black Professionals Network
President & CEO Dail St. Claire represented the Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) with poise and confidence at the forefront of a multicultural gathering of financial services professionals hosted by SEI, a $1 trillion financial services company based in Oaks, PA. The event focused on mutual support, professional development, and community impact, celebrating Black History Month with SEI’s Black Professionals Network.
Dail St. Claire is well-known and respected in the financial services community. As a featured panelist, she confidently bore witness to ECF's values, identity, and mission in this non-Episcopal, non-church setting.
When asked about how to leverage our careers to bring impactful change to the communities we serve, Ms. St. Claire took the floor. She highlighted ECF's work of transforming ministries, providing resources and services to the 7,000 congregations in the 108 dioceses of The Episcopal Church who are making their communities a better place through their assets, presence, and engagement. Dail St. Claire embraced and proclaimed her faith as a Christian, her identity as an Episcopalian, and her leading role as ECF's #1 ambassador.
Afterward, she was surrounded by Episcopalian financial services professionals who were present and emboldened by her witness to identify themselves publicly. Some spoke about how ECF's Ministry Tips and Vestry Resource Guide have helped them in their lay leadership roles at their local parishes. One person who recently joined an Episcopal congregation with their family shared that their faith community recently read together Bishop Rowe's Statement on Welcoming the Stranger and Bishop Budde's Inaugural Sermon asking mercy for the marginalized to find grounding and courage to continue their Christian witness in these challenging times. They were open and eager to know more about how ECF can accompany them on their mission to be Christ's healing, reconciling presence in their communities.
